Agnes  Woodall

Mrs. Agnes  Woodall, age 94, of Thomaston, died Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Addington Place in Dublin, GA.  Funeral services for Mrs. Woodall will be held on Thursday, September 26, at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. Rev. Bill Barber and Rev. Ted Kandler will officiate, and interment will follow in South View Cemetery.  


The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until the funeral hour. Mrs. Woodall was born in Apalachee, GA, on December 24, 1929, to the late Eddie Moon and the late Lillie Pearl Conner Moon.  She was employed as a registered nurse from 1951 until 1995, and she often worked closely with her husband, the late Dr. Frank Woodall.  Mrs. Woodall loved birds and flowers and enjoyed gospel music; however, what she enjoyed most was helping other people.  She loved the Lord and her church, First Baptist of Thomaston, where she was a long-time member.


Mrs. Woodall is survived by her children: Franklin M. (Angie) Woodall, Jr. of Dublin, GA; Jan McPhail and Jill Woodall, both of Jacksonville, FL; a sister Marie Moon (Jack) Bishop; two grandchildren: Franklin Woodall, III of Baltimore MD, and Chelsea (Aaron) Mitchell of St. Mary's, FL; and one great grandchild, Ethan Woodall. 


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 208 S. Church St., Thomaston, GA  30286, or to Gideons International, PO Box 1034, Thomaston, GA  30286.
