Mrs. Ann Reeves Lawrence, age 68 years and 10 months, of Zebulon, went to meet the Lord and Josh from her home on November 15, 2024. She grew up in Pike County, daughter of the late Horace Grady Reeves and the late Mary Pauline “Polly” Biles Reeves. Ann met the love of her life, Billy, at Spruce’s BBQ in Griffin when she was admiring his new red Volkswagen. They have been together for 55 years and 4 days.
Ann had various jobs throughout her life, but the one she enjoyed the most was Assistant Administrator over the Human Resources Department at the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home in Meansville. She enjoyed traveling with Billy, growing flowers, working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren who called her DurDur.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Ray Lawrence.
She is survived by her husband: Billy Ray Lawrence; grandson: River Ray Lawrence, daughter: Angel Lawrence; sisters and brothers-in-law: Clara and Chris Lee and Cheryl and Warren McCullough; special nephew and his wife: Michael and Natalie Lee; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ricky and Elaine Lawrence and Cathy Lawrence Castles; adopted daughter: Stacy Lawrence; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Mr. Howard Johnson and Mr. Tony Bass will officiate. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
