
Cecilia Annette Lewis, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 in a local health care facility. Mrs. Lewis was born in Fork Ridge, Tennessee and she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Dalton Combs and James Combs. Her husband, Reverend George J. Lewis, her son, Jeffrey A. Lewis and her brothers, Charles and David Combs also preceded her in death. Mrs. Lewis worked for a number of years as a administrative assistant in the Medical field and also with the Church of God International offices in Cleveland. Most of all she was a Pastor's wife and along with her husband they pastored in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia and Tennessee. She was involved in ministry for more than 50 years. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and traveling. She was known for being very organized when she would plan for the ladies retreats and traveling. She had a wonderful sense humor and believed that laughing was good medicine. Mrs. Lewis attended Westmore Church of God.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Lewis (Darla), Cleveland, Darrin Lewis (Raul), Atlanta, Georgia, daughter, Nicole Johnson, Dalton, Georgia, grandchildren, Jacob Lewis (Christina), Jenna Harness (Matt), Larissa Brown (Fiancé, Abel), Aaron Cagle (Caitlyn), Shayde and Trinity, several great grandchildren, brothers, Bob Combs (Veronica), Trenton, Michigan, Thomas Combs (Beverly), Laguna Beach, California and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 6 P. M. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Teresa Norman officiating. Dawn Puckett will also be sharing. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 2 P. M. at the Crystal Hill Cemetery, 321 Hannahs Mill Road, Thomaston, Georgia. Friends and family will serve as casket bearers. The family would like to say a special thank you to Bradley Health Care and Rehab and to Hearth Hospice for all the loving kindness and excellent care they gave to Cecilia.
