CONGRESSMAN FERGUSON ON THE JOB

CONGRESSMAN DREW FERGUSON OF PIKE COUNTY IS NOT SEEKING REELECTION BUT HE'S STILL WORKING HARD FOR THE 3RD DISTRICT--AND HAS GAINED $8 MILLION IN FEDERAL FUNDS VIA EARMARK FOR THE NEW GRIFFIN-SPALDING CO. AIRPORT--PLANNED OUT ARTHUR BOLTON PARKWAY. STATE FUNDING TOTALS $47 MILLION SO WITH THE FEDERAL FUNDS THAT'S $55 MILLION.


AIRPORT AUTHORITY CHAIRMAN DR. RANDY PETERS SAYS CROY ENGINEERING IS PREPARING GRANT APPLICATIONS TO ACCESS THE FUNDING. THE NEXT STEP IS PHASE TWO LAND ACQUSITION. THE END OF 2024 IS THE TARGET DATE TO HAVE ALL THE PROPERTY PURCHASED--AT LEAST 525 ACRES NEEDED.
