Mr. Donald Jenkins Smith, age 97 of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mr. Smith was born on August 26, 1927, in Sacramento, California, to the late Everett Lathrop Smith, and the late Doris Jenkins Smith. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II, and then worked as an educator in California. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elizabeth Wimpy Smith.
Survivors include his daughters, Connie Kocher of San Diego, CA, Kathleen Olson of Star, Idaho, and Melody Smith of Thomaston.
Mr. Smith was cremated, and the family will have a celebration of life service at a later date. Coggins Funeral Home.
