Jaelynn Mae McVeig

Jaelynn Mae McVeigh, age 12, of High Falls, passed away December 12, 2024.  Jaelynn was a 7th grade student at Monroe County Middle School in Forsyth where she played the clarinet in the band and enjoyed science.  She loved cats and was a gifted and talented artist who excelled at drawing. Jaelynn was very creative and enjoyed cosplaying, watching Anime and Demon Slayer.  She loved the Lord and her church, High Falls Baptist.


She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Don Phillips, grandmother, Donna Phillips, uncles, Jeremy (Bubba) Phillips, David Farley and Justin Jozefyk, grandfather, Floyd Graves and PawPaw Phil Hamby, and great-uncle Michael Worley.


She is survived by her mother: Jaime Jozefyk Graves; father: Matthew McVeigh; sister and brothers: Jiorjia Adams (Devin), Tresdon Peppers (Katelynn), Tanner Graves (Taylor), and Matthan McVeigh; nieces and nephews: Braxton, Brentley, Macie, Dakota, Abigail, Christian, Aubrey and Scarlett; grandmothers: Eileen Phillips and Marsha Graves; aunts: Bonnie (Brandon) and Cindy; and several cousins.


Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Tyson Roache officiating. 


Friends may visit the family on Sunday, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
