Mr. James David Dingler, age 76, of Thomaston, passed away December 28, 2024. David grew up in Thomaston, son of the late Robert Dingler and Nettie Hadaway Dingler. He graduated from R. E. Lee Institute and then joined the United States Army where he served for four years. After being honorably discharged from the military, David moved back to Thomaston and worked at Daniel’s Men Shop for many years. He then took a job as a salesman with Liberty National Insurance and retired after 20 years. He enjoyed photography and music. David collected hundreds of record albums and used the music to make CDs and DVDs for family and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine McKissick, sister, Bobbie Jean Harvell and brother, Buddy Dingler.
He is survived by his sister: Joan Akins (David) and many nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
