Mr. Joseph Terry Chambers II, age 78, of Griffin, passed away September 27, 2024. Terry grew up in Griffin son of the late Joseph Terry Chambers Sr. and Catherine Hill Chambers. He graduated from Griffin High School in 1965, where he played football. Terry was an excellent athlete and after graduating from high school, he attended the University of Tennessee and continued to play football.
For many years, he owned and operated Doors and Things in Griffin where he installed and repaired garage doors. He enjoyed playing poker and on Monday nights he could be found at the Griffin Moose Lodge playing cards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph “Joey” Terry Chambers III and his granddaughter, Jessica Averett.
He is survived by his wife: Jeana Chambers; daughter: Amanda Blizzard (Paul); grandchildren: Kayla Chambers, Devin Powell, Levi Powell and Nicholas Blizzard.
