Fifteen Dawgs, including a league high six on the First Team, were included on the 2024 Preseason Media Days All-Southeastern Conference Team, according to a league announcement Friday.

In addition, Georgia is picked to be crowned SEC champion on December 7th in Atlanta.  This will mark the first season since 1991 with no divisions in the league.  The participants of the SEC Championship Game will be determined during the eight-game regular season conference schedule as the teams with the two best overall SEC winning percentages.

Senior quarterback Carson Beck, junior running back Trevor Etienne, senior offensive lineman Tate Ratledge, senior defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse, junior linebacker Mykel Williams and junior safety Malaki Starks were named to the First Team.

Second Team Dawg selections included senior offensive lineman Xavier Truss, junior offensive lineman Dylan Fairchild, senior linebacker Smael Mondon Jr., junior punter Brett Thorson and sophomore receiver/returner Dillon Bell.  Junior defensive back Daylen Everette, senior receiver Dominic Lovett, junior tight end Oscar Delp and redshirt sophomore Earnest Greene III concluded Georgia’s selections after being voted to the Third Team.

The Dawgs start their 2024 campaign in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta during a match up versus Clemson in the Aflac Kickoff Classic on August 31st.  ABC will cover the 12 p.m. SEC-ACC matchup.
